      How does Cel-fi work?

      Cel-fi is a cell signal booster developed by Nextivity Inc.  It consists of :

      1. The Cel-fi unit, this is the booster that receives and boosts the incoming signal, it is generally mounted inside the home near a power point
      2. A donor antenna, this antenna is often mounted on the roof and tuned to the chosen cell tower from your provider, it feeds the strongest possible signal to the Cel-fi booster
      3. A server antenna, connected from the Cel-fi unit with a cable that leads up the wall and is often ceiling or wall mounted, redistributing the cell towers signal throughout your house

      Which mobile network operators is Cel-fi compatible with

      Cel-fi is compatible with Telstra, Vodafone, and Optus networks. Additionally, and any reseller utilizing these networks such as Belong Mobile, ALDI, iiNet, TPG and Amaysim

      Does Cel-fi boost both voice and data?

      Yes, both voice and data are boosted, as they utilize the same frequency bands that the Cel-fi unit amplifies.

      How many indoor or server antennas do I need for Cel-fi?

      In general, for small to medium sized single story homes, a single server antenna gives adequate coverage throughout the house, yet this is dependent on the quality and strength of the donor antennas signal.

      Double or triple story homes ideally require one server antenna on each floor.

      Does Cel-fi boost multiple carriers at once?

      Depending on which model of Cel-fi booster, some models such as the G41 and G51 only boost single carriers while enterprise models such as the G43 and Quatra boost upto three carriers simultaneously.

      Is Cel-fi guaranteed to give me perfect mobile reception?

      No, like any booster, Cel-fi boosts whatever signal condition is available over the air on your roof, minus cabling losses. Fortunately most customers are able to receive vastly improved reception with few issues. To determine the likely improvement a cell booster may provide, a site survey is required in order to measure the signal above your roof.
